Forest

The forest is mainly a Chartreuse color, deep and soft with highlights of golden alpines and evergreens, old man's beard and moss dangling from outstretched branches and gleaming trunks. Ferns and berry bushes decorate the landscape, the trees tall and tons of open ground for the scavenging of woodland critters. As the season of winter enchants the whimsical territory, the gorgeous burgundys and scarlets remain at the top of an alluring canopy. Otherwise, it is mainly gray, white, and blue, with dewdrops clinging to the leaves as they rustle and shake with movement.

  1. Aden lead Evette by the hand into the forest, and they stopped in the middle of a clearing. He looked down at their hands, feeling a little awkward. Why were they holding hands? He felt as if he should let go, but would she be offended? Did he even like it? "Um. I think... we shouldn't split up when we look for herbs because we don't know what's out here yet..."

  2. Evette nodded. Her hands were getting sweaty, and she glanced at her fingers intertwined with Aden's. Why was he holding her hand? But why did she also enjoy this feeling?

"Ok...where do you want to start?"

  3. Aden kept telling himself not to blush, but it didn't exactly work, his face turning slightly scarlet. "Uh, probably near the marsh. They'd probably have echinacea there, which is good for infections and swelling. We should look for aloe vera as well, and garlic would be nice as well though it's hard to find.

  4. Evette noticed Aden's scarlet face and felt her own face heat up. "Oh ok...let's go look at the marsh first then"

  5. "Okay." Aden awkwardly led her to the direction of the marsh. As they walked, he decided to break the uncomfortable silence. "So... what do you like doing?" He asked her, genuinely curious. For some reason, Aden really wanted to know her better.

  6. "Um...I really like to read, and sometimes I weirdly feel at peace when looking at sunsets...how about you?" Evette felt an unusual sensation as she glanced up at Aden's dark eyes.
